Enter the building next door to Grace Cathedral and pass through a glass-walled lobby with a convenient 24-hour door attendant-concierge desk, to ascend to the 20th floor.

Step into a formal entry foyer, over regal marble-wood surround flooring, with a large coat closet on the right to be greeted with sparkling light and dramatic skyline views through grand picture windows at the end of the living room, casting a magical and dramatic ambiance over the entire living space.

Past the foyer head into the gracious living room. On the right a granite topped wet bar includes an artisan-made custom sink, glass shelving and cabinetry outfitted with gold hardware for formal entertaining. Lounge in the living room with a backdrop of sweeping east-facing vistas of the city including Grace Cathedral, Coit Tower, The Bay Bridge, and Salesforce Tower.

On the right alongside a wall of gorgeous windows head into the formal dining area, a jaw-dropping room featuring wrap-around southeast facing panoramic views that showcase iconic landmarks such as Twin Peaks and Sutro Tower to the south and the city skyline to the east. The sizable dining room is flanked along the entire back wall by a fabulous marble-topped built-in buffet and includes a stunning show-piece crystal chandelier.

At the southern end of the dining room, step through oversized French glass doors to discover a light-filled glass-enclosed sunroom. Here, enjoy breathtaking floor-to-ceiling windows & sliders offering 180-degree panoramic views, capturing both the southern and eastern cityscapes. Open the expansive glass sliding doors to invite in a refreshing cool breeze and bask in the stunning city vistas and horizon beyond.

From the dining room or sunroom, access the chef’s kitchen, replete with updated stainless-steel appliances, including large Sub-Zero refrigerator with in-door ice and water makers, Gaggenau stove top, and stainless double ovens. The well-appointed kitchen also features convenient pull-out pantry shelving and freshly painted white cabinetry above, and charcoal grey below, as well as newly refurbished hardwood floors.

Step to the rear of the kitchen to find an interior hallway with an elegant powder room featuring gorgeous, handcrafted wall-sconces surrounding a custom gold mirror, over a black granite topped vanity with gold hardware and newly refinished hardwood flooring. Walk down the hall, past a rear service entrance, to find the first light-filled bedroom, a spacious room with gorgeous south-facing views, custom built-in desk & shelving, and access to the sunroom through a glass door.

At the north end of the entry foyer, a second private hallway leads to an enclosed bedroom wing with two sumptuous bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Neighborhood Gallery

1200 California Street #20C

Exclusive and elegant, Nob Hill is home to some of the grandest mansions and most historic hotels one can find in San Francisco. Nob Hill is part of an enclave made accessible in the 1870s by the addition of cable cars climbing up California Street through the heart of the neighborhood. The area is considered the center of old San Francisco, where even today descendants of some of the original founding families of San Francisco keep continued memberships at renowned private clubs, including the infamous Bohemian Club.

All but destroyed in the fire of 1906, Nob Hill homes remain the most prestigious of San Francisco addresses. Old money is on display here, making itself seen through the extravagantly adorned buildings that line every street. Huntington Park is certainly the heart of Nob Hill. Home to the iconic 10-foot Fountain of Tortoises, families enjoy congregating on its shady expanses to take in a bit of respite following the hike up the hill. There is also a children's playground which is second to none.

The spiritual center of the community is found in the impressive stone architecture of Grace Cathedral. A Liberal bastion, the Cathedral administers an array of social justice programs, and brings inspiration through the many musical concerts it hosts throughout the year. Also on the grounds is an outdoor meditation labyrinth. Here visitors traverse the garden in silence as part of a meditative reflection on their own lives and the lives of others.

The neighborhood of Nob Hill remains a very walkable area despite its many steep avenues. It remains an urban oasis for residents while never being too far from the action of downtown. Perfectly situated it remains bounded by the excitement of Chinatown, the thrilling nightlife of Polk Street, and the upscale shopping of Union Square. Nob Hill is a walking commute from downtown and the financial district. And for those not interested in walking at the end of the day, MUNI provides monthly cable car passes. Now that's traveling in style!
